I was wondering about this: what roles do magic damage charms play? I realize that cold and poison damage charms are sources of chill and prevent monster heal. Also, poison charms help shorten the duration of certain poison skills. Venom, Rabies, Poison Dagger and the poison javalin skills without lowering their damage. Venom should only have one, I heard, though I don't know whether the others would benefit from poison charms at all.
However, unlike physical damage charms, their damage does not get multiplied by anything, save Fire and Lightning Mastery. So, unless you're using an elemental melee/ranged Sorceress, you can't improve the damage in any way.
Taken together, I think of magic damage charms as nothing more than utilities, and that's only the cold and poison damage charms. Am I wrong thinking like this? Did I make a mistake in my reasoning?
