Whats a good weapon for Oath RW? I have found an eth champion sword. In the previous ladder I made one out of an eth cs...
should I take the plunge and Oath my eth Champion sword? Whats all your thoughts ?
I am going to use it for my primary until I get a grief pb for my main conc attack. My other main attack is of course a ww. I dual wield toooo

wait...if you are saving up for a grief pb anyway, why not just save that mal rune you are planning to make oath with?
I mean, you got the mal to make an oath, so... why not save that, get enough just to get a Lo rune....and use that mal you saved to help make Grief.
Thats just my opinion.
The best (perfect stat) Oath possible, is way worse than the worst Grief pb possible.
Think about it...

Putting aside that Grief is far superior, I'd say a Eth Balrog Blade. Thats what I shoved mine in, and the damage is quite nice.

Thx AgentMarth for actually answering my question lol.
Yeah I fully understand that grief is much much better but you have to respect that you can't go from rags to riches in one day (or 3 weeks on and off playing). Eventually I'd use my grief as my main conc and oath on my offhand for ww.

You're welcome.
Just don't forget that you cannot repair the charges. Its the one thing I don't like about it.

I made Oath in a Scourge, and use it beside Stormlash on my Double Swinger. I'm sure a Balrog Blade does more damage though; I just like the look of a Scourge/Knout/Flail better.

Yeah thats a ****ty thing indeed:/

Nah, that would be a waste of the runes, and eth balrog blades arent expensive anyway
The Balrog Blade gives good damage and isnt slow. But if u want it to be slightly faster u also could take a Highland Blade, but considering its only -5 faster, maybe u dont even notice it..
In case if u go 1 hand with the oath, u could also take a look at 1 hand swords. The Conquest Sword is exactly the same as the Balrog Blade (even fast and the same average damage of 45 (non eth 1hand damage)
The Cryptic Sword gives 4 less average damage but is -10 speed, so its faster. Also the last two mentioned have at least 43 lesser strength requirements.
If the strength lets it, and u just like the big sword thing (i do anyway), go Balrog:)

I'm convinced now so I'll just make a spirit out of it for kicks or something before I toss it away ;D

I'd make one in eth berserker axe if it is for a high level character.
reasons:
1. I could invest in axe mastery
2. upgrade to grief/botd (pvp/pvm) ba later
3. to be able to use grief/botd with beast ba for end game

Balrog Blade for best damage
Highland Blade for the levelreq of 49 (makes it a useable MLD weapon once you have the grief)
Berserker Axe because axes rules
Silver-edged Axe if you intend to make a werewolf
Scourge for some novelty builds

Another thing to consider, is how easy it is to get 4 sockets in a BB or HB, compared to a Eth Zerk, Silver, or Scourge.
But since he has a Grief PB in mind, sword mastery is better obviously, although I would still prefer a Eth Oath Zerk for more uses other than just a Barb. Not too many other character could use a Eth Oath BB if you get bored of him.
I never bother making a RW in a popular base item, simply because i am never going to sell it anyway.

Oath balrog blade is easily tradeable, so i dont think that would be a issue. If the points are in swordmastery, use a sword:)
