Superrior ethereal berserker axe from pindleskin?

Hi,

I'm lost in the vast knowledge base of the statistics forum.
I want to determine if Pindleskin can drop superrior ethereal berserker axe.
According to

Berserker axe has treasure class 87 an qlvl 85 wich are equal or less to
mang song's lesson which dropped from Pindle. Therefore I know that
I can get normal berserker axe from him.

I wonder if superrior prefix and ethereal flag have impact on TC and qlvl?

Ethereal and superior dont have any impact on treasure class or qlvl since these are fixed "item stats" in the game. You cant affect treasute class or qlvl what ever you do in the game (except for hacking :rolleyes: )

Theres a chance (i think that is 5%) that items spam ethereal, except for those that cant spam ethereal like set items and indestructible uniques.

And the superior "prefix" (this isnt a real prefix) is a result of the quality, not quality lvl, of the item. After determine the treasure class and the item from the that treasure class, the game determines the quality for this order

unique>set>rare>magic>superior>normal>low quality (cracked or damaged)

So if you are hunting for superior items you should run monsters and areas with no mf since mf help you getting more magic, rare, set and unique items and less normal items.

I advise you run lvl85 areas (like pits or ancient tunnels) with no mf since the monsters have better chances of drop from the wanted treasure class. If you are in bnet try run these areas in crowded game, if you are in single player run these areas at /players 8 for more dropes.

But hunting for a particular item its kinda frustrating... Hey but you might get some another good items in process!

Pindleskin cannot drop nonmagical items (except stuff which cannot be anytthing else, like scrolls or gems) and even if he would, his chance to produce TC87 stuff isn't higher than for regular high-level monsters. His minions can drop them, but they aren't special in any way as well.

If you are looking for socketables, better kill as many high-level monsters as possible. Regarding TC87 stuff like BAs, check crowded L85 areas like CS, WSK 1-3 and if these areas are too tough for your characters, try the Pits and Tunnels. For lower TC items, cows and flayer jungle are nice as well.

runs where berserker axes don't drop :D.
