questions about Energy Shield Sorc

the main question is simple. one point in ES or 20 points in ES?

gonna go for pure ES build with orb + leftover in whatever lightning skills.

ive however seen people recommend only 1 point in ES. so ive been thinking which is better. what would be the situation if you only have +8 or so in total +skills.

what kind of VIT do you other ES sorcs usually go? base VIT sounds too crappy idea for Hell difficulty, i don't want to rely on like 200-300 HP if mana burns show up. would like 100 be good enough?

also, is it worth to go max block with ES sorc?

I usually don't like doing ES in pvm because of mana burn.

One point ES + 20 point telekinesis. It's the only way I'd build a PvM ES sorc.

From an experienced HC ES user:

- +8 skills takes you to ~60%++ Energy Shield, which is typically more than enough for PVM
- 0 energy, rest vitality - mana burn will -always- show up; manaburn transfers from bosses to minions (or am I only thinking ghost packs?) and high mana gcs are much higher ROI than high life gcs (considering +mana% equipment)
- 75% block = unless a specialized hit-taking build, always worth it
