Why do people offer Baal SC?

Only they can have the highest elemental damage affixes. However, these affixes are not very popular, except perhaps 175 poison damage and the chance to get that prefix is very small, so it pays off more to reroll Baal GCs.

Baal, diablo, and nith SCs can spawn the 88+ elemental dmg and physical dmg affixes(red, hibernal, flaming, shocking, pestilent). The prefix 'red' is pretty much the most useless thing ever, but the other 4 are pretty good, especially "shocking" and "pestilent".

What ilvl are Baal GCs? Are Baal GCs the highest in the game?

Baal GCs are ilvl 99. There is no possibility of a higher ilvl in the game.

Well an anni has an ilvl of 110, but of course that has absolutely no implications in the world of re-rolling charms.:laugh:

For the purpose of rolling GCs Diablo, Nihlathak, and Baal can all get the highest available affix "of vita" including 41-45 life. The respective ilvls for each charm would be 94, 95, and 99. In other words, although Baal's drops are of the highest ilvl, for all practical purposes GCs from any of those 3 are the same. You probably knew that but I posted it for the OP and the other person who asked a question.

The game caps ilvl at 99. Yes it is technically 110, until you save and exit --> it becomes 99.

So theoretically you could use the SOJ recipe for rare items and creater a lvl 99 rare item into a higher ilvl rare item? I dont know if there are higher than 99 rare mods though...I know 46 - 50 life is possible on grand charm w/ ilvl of 110 which doesnt exist.
