Is increasing my MF or number of players in the game actually detrimental to my odds of finding runes and keys from Hell Countess, and keys from Hell Summoner?
I thought I heard someone say it is, but ATMA doesn't show me decreased odds when I increase my MF or players.
Increasing mf lowers the odds of runes and keys since more magics and rares are being selected than those, which are not affected by mf. Im pretty sure increased number of people increases runes and key chances as well as everything else.

Not true, MF has absolutely no affect on rune and key drops.

With more players runes drop more often, but key drops are the same in a 1 player and in a 8 player game.

ATMA says keys drop at better odds with more players in the game.

I thought all MF did was give a better chance for non-miscellaneous white items to become magical, rare, or unique; not increase the pool of non-miscellaneous white items.

Yeah, you're right, my bad.

These keys are nonmagical and your chance to find magic items does NOT have an effect on their drop rate. However, having more players in the game will increase your chances.
Increased number of players in the game decreases the Countess' chance of dropping runes with her 3 special rune drops, since she'll have a lower chance of getting a nodrop with her 5 normal drops. If all 5 normal drops kick in, you can only get 1 more drop (since 6 is the maximum per kill), and thus only 1 chance at a runedrop.
