its a summoner so it ain't gear dependent but i think its starting to collect some nice material:

weapon: wand with +3 to summoning, +3 to summon resist (backed up by umes lament)
shield: homunculous socketed with pdiamond (backed up by lidless with pdiamond)
armor: trang socketed with ptopaz
gloves: trang
boots: natalya
belt: goldwrap
helmet: lore runeword hydraskull (also have undead king crown)
ammy: saracens
rings: dwarf star, naglering
19-17 necro torch

any suggestions for trades i could make to get some better stuff? im currently looking to aquiring some merc gear, as well as a shako or soj. i know i can't get those for these things, i'm just hopin for some approaches i can take to getting them

Nice wand. I like the summon resist too. I've got a +2 necro skills wand with +3 to summon resist, and the extra in SR seem to make a noticeable difference.

definately a good start, and viable in hell with that gear - your merc equipment will make a big difference.

you can probably get a low Shako on trade forums here for higher MID-runes (Um, Pul). SoJ will be far more expensive. switch out Umes Lament for an Arm of King Leoric to raise your army... overall +5 i think to summon tree (+2 skills, +3 summon). again, trade forums here will have AoKLs from time to time quite cheaply.

oh yeah - nice torch =))

before trading sojs or maras try to get skillers, you'll get more +skills then from a soj for the same price.
