View Full Version : Set item questions
Sorry too keep asking so many noob questions.
Which set items are worth keeping and which are worth selling i have all my mules full of set items. I have three sets of sigon now and a few pieces of everything else.
Also what are some items to watch out for that people need. I found a homunculus today and i dont know if i should keep it or not.
Thank you.

Keep the homunculus, it is excellent for necromancers. As for the set items, normally keep the ones you'll use yourself and only the elite items are really tradeable, such as the Griswold set items (minus armor).

get rid of ur sigs, even if it means charsi food, 3 sets? keep 1 of them, thats a hella lot of space ur takin up for that
Try sell them on bnet for 1 pgem each piece. If no one's interested, charsi. Be a bit of a waste to miss out on quite a few pgems if you're just starting.

Join some normal games and give them away if you end up wanting to selling to the shop.
At least you have a possiblity of forming a friendship with someone that needed a hand.

That's the kind of suggestion that sounds really unlikely, pointless, and naive, but it's not. If nobody appreciates a gesture, it's still fine. And you might find someone popping up and repaying the favor someday.
I've had that happen in MMORPG's online before. Somebody who has other very powerful characters anonymously stumbles upon you in a good mood, and you do something nice for his newbie character. Later you might find him doing something really nice for you. Or not. But it's happened to me a few times. And it's kind of fun giving stuff to newbies, especially if they're "real" newbies and not just super-twinks who will turn it over to Charsi for a pittance immediately or something.
I agree almost totally with that item guide regarding sets, but I want to add a few that I like.
Civerb's--I haven't used the full set but a nice bonus is the huge max damage per level applied to the weapon. You can get something like 8-40 damage on the weapon at level 9. However it's not very rare. Collect one for yourself if you want to use it but otherwise leave it on the ground.
Cleglaw's-all round decent bonuses and another max damage per clvl mod, however the weapon is no good without one other set peice. Keep a set for yourself, occasionally you'll see somebody asking for a peice--sell them yours and replace it when you find another. Not rare at all.
Iratha's--most people want IAS on their gloves and you get it with partial set bonus. Full set gives nice resists, leaves weapon, sheild and body armor slot open. however, again it is not very rare and not too many people will ask about it either. keep one for yourself if you decide you like it and just leave the extras on the ground.
For any sets you find, always keep the amulet, as that is usually the piece that's hardest to get.
