Question about hotkeys

So I haven't played Diablo 2 in a few years. I was wondering if there where ways to set up hotkeys other then left and right click between spells?

Mouse scrolling works and the F1-F8 can be picked for hotkeys. Just put the pointer over the skill and press the F-button of your choice.

you can also change the keys used for hotkeys
while playing hit esc >> options >> configure controls
skills 1-16

In fact, using the F-keys for hotkeys is silly, because they're too far away from shift, ctrl and alt.

Here's my setup:
keys ZXCV - I use those for the skills I use most commonly
keys ASDF - for prebuff / summoning / aura skills
keys QWER - normally no use for those, but sometimes I use them for utility skills (e.g. in case of assassin)

Except W is default weapon switch
I always change that to the ~ key my fingers are there already for pots anyway
