Twink or Pure?

Out of curiosity, I'd like to know if you guys mainly create new characters pure and untwinked or if you mainly create one already planning to mule over sojs, rune words, and an enigma gear etc to twink it out?

The game offers the best entertainment and enjoyment for me that way. I'm sometimes keeping some decent items, but it's more fun to earn stuff as you go :smile:.

90% of my characters now are twinked dueling characters. the occasional untwinked build can be fun though

I'm with Veilan: 100% untwinked, HC only.

I just don't see any fun in going through the game with gear that'll let you kill pretty much anything in one hit, and to be able to survive any damage that comes your day. What's the challenge in that?

Like many folks here. . .I've been playing this game for years.
In this time I have gathered quite a bit of pretty nice items.
I will use these items and twink softcore builds to test them or to try new combos that I think of or read about.
Once I get a build combo that works and is fun to play, then that build gets re-done in HC and I play it untwinked until I can either gather the necessary items to mimic the SC build (equivalent items also work- it doesn't have to be a clone in every respect) or it dies.

Both ways of playing have their merits. . .but I tend to agree with the other posters that HC untwinked is the most satisfying experience.

hardcore twinked from level 6 and up. im talking enchanted/ias/raven claw from 6 and up.

struggling through was fun the first dozen ish times but the repetition really wears you down.

if i wanted a challenge id play a naked passive zon on hardcore.

I play untwinked in single player. I find it pointless to do so online, because I come online to compete with others.

it's more fun sometimes to play untwinked. You really, really have to plan ...

well by the time they get to the point where you can use runewords(75+due to torch), then you are just "Gearing" them and not really "twinking" them :).
