i already have the runes to make Grief
but i need to know what kinda of weapon i use?
phase blade ou dimension blade?
what difference beteween both? what is the best to use grief?

Benefits to using a phase blade:
-30 base weapon attack speed
indestructible

Benefits to using a dimensional blade:
Lower dex req then a phase blade


Other then that the damage is about the same. So I guess in the end if you want to save on dex you go with the dimensional blade, gear permitting.

Phase Blades don't come in ethereals, from what I've read.

If you have the high dex, use a phase blade. If you're a zealot/1pt smiter, you would want 136+ dex anyways, so you can actually hit things.

By upping it, he means to upgrade it through the cube recipe. I'm not sure if you can upgrade whites, am I wrong?

Anyways. My lvl 87 zealot uses a Phase Blade Grief and I literally tear right through everything. Combine it with laying of hands, and it's the single greatest demon slaughtering combo.

My setup:

Andy's Visage or Guillames (sp?)
PB Grief
Perf Fort Archon
Stormshield
Highlords
Raven
Whisp
Up'd gores
Dracs or laying of hands
8/15 string
druid torch (just for resists/attributes), ~15/~13 if I remember right.

Any boss in hell with 1-5 players is dead within 1 minute. It takes just a bit longer in an 8 player game.

alma negra works. HoZ is better though. SS has some nice mods too.

base dmg on the pb doesnt really matter, ur lookin for a high roll on the +dmg on the grief, its what makes it so godly, and kills so fast, it goes up to +400 dmg

Zerker Grief is the best (for resale as well) as long as you get enough IAS on the roll

I didn't like the zerker because of the repair costs. I personally would use PB. Like BAMF said your looking for +dmg on the roll as well as the IAS.

Maybe I'm taking it wrong what you said but the reason to go Zerk over Phaser is the range +1

Which is very nice for PvP... if pure PvM then go with PB.

Although I agree that for smiting in pvp range 3 can be better but it's much easier to pull off a short charge with a range 2 or 1 weapon. It all depends on you play style.

and back to the grief discussion, pb for speed, zerk for range, pb no repair cost, zerk high repair cost, they both resale for about the same if stats are the same, just depends on whos looking for what, so id say make the grief that best fits ur play style.

The thing with making Grief in Zerk is that you get much better resale value, you can pimp it to both barbs AND palas. Tbh I'd be pretty pissed if I rolled 400/40 on a pb -.-'
