Hey, I've never really made an assasin before. I think I started a lite trapper way back in the day (before infinity) and I got bored realy quickly. I wanted to get past my other chars (IK Barb, Hammerdin, Lite Sorc) and make something out of the ordinary. I don't think I want to go for a lite trapper since I already have the sorc and I think they would be very similar. Unless I don't need another infinity, then I would give it a shot. But anyways, I'm looking for some help in picking a fun, viable build.
Thanks

I enjoyed playing my Kick/Trap hybrid through the game. She's essentially a synergized light Trapper with 4-kick Dtalon and Venom. IIRC I maxed Venom, Light Sentry, Death Sentry, CB Sentry, and have worked on Shock Web. One point into all Shadow Skills rounds her out. She uses something like:

*Andy's Visage(15 ias/27 fr jewel)
*Stormshield(15 ias/defense jewel)
*Stormlash or Last Wish pb, depending on my mood...and Fleshripper when bored.
*Maras
*Enigma GP
*Arachnid Mesh
*FCR/AR/Str/Dex/Resist ring
*Ravenfrost
*Upped Gores
*Dracs(for sticky situations)

She's been a pure blast to play, so much so that I soloed the game with her and twinked gear only where necessary. She can solo anywhere in the game using Shadow GC's(I'm thinking about experimenting with Trap GC's sometime). Using the Shadow skillers she tops 4k LS damage, and 1.2k Dtalon damage(not counting Venom). I also keep a Spirit on hand for running Baal games(65% FCR bp).

Why don't you try a Riftkicker. Nothing more fun than spamming Frozen Orbs while you kick like crazy. Totally viable and more than able to kill anything.

I just posted a guide a few days ago.

Very fun build and I just started another one for the new ladder ...

Yeah that runeword rift sounded so fun, I'm going to make a zealer using rift and dual dream. Still looking for suggestions. If you could please explain what makes your suggestion a good one, I would really appreciate it.

If you could please explain what makes your suggestion a good one, I would really appreciate it.What I like most about this build is how versatile it is. You do decent physical damage with 50%+ crushing blow which will mow down act bosses and anything else that is not physical immune very fast. If however, you come across a physical immune, you have Frozen Orbs, magic and fire damage from Rift and poison damage from Venom. You can run any area in the game at any difficulty level as long as you make good use of your supporting skills Mind Blast, Death Sentry and Cloak of Shadows (I'm not particularly crazy about areas with Oblivion Knights though).

I also like the fact that you can play around a little with your skill points. If you make a trapper, your skill points are more or less set in stone. And did I mention that, aside from one Gul rune for the Rift runeword, the needed items are very much affordable?

But if you want to know the ins and outs of it, why not just read the guide?

I just started my first 'sassy ever after a few years of playing D2, I'm making a Martial Arts 'sin (Phoenix Strike and stuff). So far she's been a blast to play, and I've been playing untwinked and I've had no trouble whatsoever. As long as you make liberal use of Cloak of Shadows, Mind Blast and Death Sentry, you'll do fine. Many people overlook the MA skills, in particular the elemental charge-ups, but I find them to be just as viable as any other kind of 'sin. And they're fun to use too, much more amusing than just spamming the same skill over and over until stuff dies.
