I'd just like to create this thread to talk about and remember a certain Turtle that is very near and dear to D2's heart. Nearly everyone who's anyone knows who Mentalex is, or Turtleism, or whatever you'd like to call him.
He's enlisted in the military of his home country, and is dearly missed by the D2 community, myself included.
So talk about Seth, memories, LLD, pwnage, or anything related to the subject of the man, the myth, the legend-- Turtleism.

I just knew he was decent at lld.
Perhaps we can have this changed to a new lld thread? :S
Old one is very long and fairly out dated.

An LLD thread would be acceptable. :)
Turtleism had a few LLD's, most memorably:
Turtlex, a 29(...?) Charger with 1 pt. in zeal, Bonerism, a 29...boner., LLTurtle, a 12 Charge/Zeal, LLCobra, a lv9 pala, The_Shoe, a 27 zealer, and DubbleD, a 29 Bowzon.
I know he had a smiter, and probably some other LLD's I didn't know about, but thats the base of his LLD arsenal.
And I'm pretty sure he IS a legend, thank you.

I'll duel east, Perhaps europe but I lag way to much. West is dead in trading on other sites for me to start, And I already play enough realms.

I'd say Sculpy was more of a legend than Seth (Mentalex), since I'm pretty sure he got him started on lld. Either way they were both cool guys... I think Mr_Friendly (Sculp's lvl 12 Charger/zealer) started off Seth, and made him make Mr_Unfriendly (lvl 13 charger/zealer).
Hangin' in a game with those guys is pretty much the only thing I miss about Bnet. Except maybe using my very poorly equiped pally with generals flail/holy freeze. Used to love catching someone running, and stopping them in their tracks with a single hit.

Lots of legends pass thru the game after years of playing and dont even get a mention. The best example I can think of is Jarulf, his last posting name here was TheJarulf and he was banned for some reason and no one but me seemed to have noticed that. Jarulf was universally known as Mr. Diablo......

Too bad I only saw Turtleism a few times on USWest. He was overwhelmingly earlier difficulty. We need more honest players in hell. Although they usually steal gold and pots in hell, not much gold i guess in normal anyhow.
Interestingly, some of the highest legit chars this ladder have been around for many years. They know cheating can get your whole acct banned.
I've said this before - its amusing that by far the most successful thread here (LLD one) was started a few weeks into this forum by a guy who was promptly banned for something minor. He tried to come back a few weeks later as SoupOfTheDay, and other names that were so obvious. Hardly ever saw him on the realm either, but friends testified that he was a good player.

Theres one LLD that I remember was so damn good ... i think.... i think his name was JudasXPriest.... ya... im pretty sure thats it. He had this lvl 12 zeal/charge pali that was just so godly... man i wish i could meet that kid in real life :P

Man I never got to say bye to Seth before he went off and joined the airforce >< a few days before he joined my D2 cd broke and i signed on and someone told me that he had left already. well... the only thing i can say to him is Good Luck Bud!

No-one ever said that u have to fight only 'NUBZ' (besides there are enough noobs in hdl too). Maube u should make yourself a lld char and you would notice, that its actually pretty fun when others take it seriously enough. Besides you get to use different skills that just are not viable in hld.

Killing 60+ chars with my 13..I didn't think it was that bad =[
Remember having fun in lld games, Someone would bring in high level barb (80ish) I would whisper Ray (Akukami) and he would bring his 30 barb and kill em :P Good times.
