eBotDz vs Grief pb PWND!!

I used an eBotDz for a long time, until I got intested in ubering and got a Grief pb. I didn't expect the same amount of dmg, in fact it appeared on the character screen that the eBotDz had twice the damage of the Grief pb... but then I noticed I was killing monsters faster and was like WTF.... even though I knew the +dmg mod didn't show :shocked:


So I got on the beloved DiabloII.net dmg calc and here's what I saw:

397% eBotDz was hitting 677-1996 per swing.
374 +dmg Grief pb was hitting 1689-1738 per swing.

397% eBotDz was hitting 133 avg per frame.
374 +dmg Grief pb was hitting 155 avg per frame.

I was totally blown away. I had heard from so many people that eBotDz was the best zealer wep out there, so expensive, so nice.... right? WRONG!!

The only thing I miss is the +30 stats, but if it doesn't kill as fast, I'm not interested. Hope this saves people the hassle of getting one and realizing it's not all it's cracked up to be.

It is already known fact that Grief has much better avg dmg than BOTD.

But I really don't get your numbers, they are waaaaay too low. That's on a zealot, right? You prolly messed up something when calculating.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Grief. :) Depending on equipment and other auras, Greif users can sometimes average over 10,000 damage per hit with a 4 frame attack - not to mention a bunch of crushing blow. That's right, more damage per second against single targets than a fully decked out Hammerdin. (Hammerdins win out against crowds and physical immunes of course.)

Let the pubbies stick to their LCS enhancing ebotdz's... we know better than that here. :)

These numbers are using base calc values for dmg for lvl 87 pali, not including auras, etc. If you know of dmg calc that allows me to factor in auras, etc, plz list link.

That's encredible, what a great RW for a PB. Never seen an eth one, do they exist? Figure since a PB is indistruct that would be nice, but I've never seen an eth PB yet. If so, what do you think price on something like that would be?

no item that spawns with the Indestructible mod can be eth, the only way to get an eth indestructable item is by Zoding it, but a grief PB is good enough without being eth ;)

close but not quite. you CAN get an eth phase blade, by up'ing a rare eth dimensional blade (or 2x up a rare eth crystal sword)

but a grief PB is good enough without being eth ;)
