Okay, so I've been a fan of the Necromancer ever since I first laid my paws on this game, and I miss the 09 days, where a PvP Necro could LR/Poison Nova/Bone Spirit with their level 20 Bone Armour, all while being quite effective. As you may have already guessed, I have a build dilemma.

I've just recently started playing LoD again, and I've got myself a MF Sorceress decently geared up, and I'm looking to get back into the PvP Necro scene.

I feel like a well equipped Poisonmancer would be more effective than a well equipped Bone Necro, but that a Bone Necro would be far more entertaining in PvP. I could go ahead and build both, but lets not even pretend that I would be able to afford that.

Which one have you all done, and how did you feel about it. Anybody done both with a decent view on both sides? What would you all suggest? Thanks.

I built a poisonmancer and hated it, especially in pvp. Have had a bone necro for ages and he just gets funner with time in duels. Depending on where you go to duel, you'll probably be better off with a bonermancer - are you going into pubs or are you in a league of some sort? Maybe in leagues where all the bm stuff and the high-powered runewords are forbidden, a poisoner would be the way to go, but for pub duels there's not much that's more efficient than a fast-casting, well-equipped bone nec. The only question is: max block or full vitality? (I'd suggest the latter.)

Alright then, definitely going to go with a bone necro, although, why would you suggest full vitality? I realize with CTA that the extra 200 vit ends up being approximately 800 life or so, correct? Although the 75% block basically increases your life by four times against physical characters. How many types of characters actually deal physical damage nowadays though?

Also, it makes shield choice a lot easier, because now there's no need for a Homun or SS for 75% block... Seems like a tough choice to me. Some answers to the following questions would be great.

Why would you suggest going full vitality?
What's the difference in life after a good BO?
How many types of characters actually deal physical damage nowadays?

Thanks.
