Treachery Question

I'm playing a C/C Venom sin (the Shadow Walker guide) and having nearly maxed venom I'm suddenly confronted with a problem. My plan has been to use Treachery for the wonderful 45IAS and the free level 15 Fade (the +2 sin skills is definately a bonus), however I'm concerned about the CtC level 15 Venom. If this triggers will it overide my (higher level) venom that is already active? If so then dissapointingly it will mean a rebuild :undecided:

i think it will. i'm basing this from peace rw (the ctc valk will replace my lower/higher lvl one).

however, you can still use gris armor or black hades armor and socket them with 3 ias jewels as replacement. no reason to rebuild unless you really rely on the ctc fade=)

I believe a higher level venom isn't overridden by a lower one unlike most skills.
Just gave it a test and it appears to work as you'd want it to.

No, higher venom is not overridden by a lower level. But, to be consistent, Fade and BoS are overridden by lower level.

i guess this is correct. sorry for my misinfo=P

i tested on my sin, ie cast at different skill lvls. the lower lvl cast didn't change the damage that came from a higher level cast. so i guess there is no overriding.

looks like venom works like enchant then=)
hope you haven't rebuild yet=P

THanks for the updated information, unfortunately I've just spent the last 5 hours rebuilding my sin with a non-venom build :banghead:
