Spear Barb Still Pimpin?

I just started playin again, I used to play LoD for a couple years and before that I played Diablo 2 classic for a year. After the LoD part, there was a 3 year break and now, here I am, back into the game again. So it's been ages, and this time I decided to go classic. The economy seems far more legit seeing as how no item dealers sell on classic plus the best items are rares not uniques.

Anyways the real purpose of this post was a question about spear barbs.

Back in 1.00-1.07 or so, the spear barb (utilizing WW) was the most godlike thing ever. All it took was a good rare lance or so. He still pimpin these days? Im considering makin one.

If you're talking about also glitching a shield on to your Spear Barb, then you can forget about it. :grin:

Otherwise, Spear Barbs are still useable, but you have to find a really good stick to use before you consider building one.

I would also question the term "economy more legit" there are A5 socketed items left and right, ranging from uniques, to double socked magic items. There are trade hacks, as well as poofer dupes still floating around as well from roughly 8 months ago when the latest lag/dupe method was so prevalent, and not patched.

oh, and akukami what are you doing back? I'm done this coming Sunday when I come back from up north... if you want your acct back lemme know before then, else it'll be disposed of as we spoke about (after I snag some screenshots of the gear)

P.S. I also got your blizzer 1/10th of the way to 93 give or take doing mini-seal raids, then rejoining game to finish it off with my fire/meteor sorc (got her to 88 in the process by doing seis/Diablo) it was amusing to see people go (o.O) after the raid, when a din had never been in the game....

simply due to the volume of players difference I would imagine.

D2 is still a fun game, but make no mistake it is slowly dying on the vine. This past weekend, I was on during a former "prime time" and there were virtually no games up on the following realms/modes

All East:
Softcore Classic Ladder
Softcore Classic Non-Ladder
Softcore Xpac Non-Ladder

At this point is when I resolved to finally cut the cord the following week and walk away. I have been spending this week dumping mules, as well as getting in touch with the various friends on the different realms to offer up certain very nice items; since my efforts at doing what we shant discuss, bore no fruit.

I also have spent some time doing quite a few rushes for free in an effort to stimulate players to stick around. Regardless of whether it rebounds, it is still time for me to step away.
