Charged Boltress?

I wonder if this build is viable for mfing just norm cs? I don't know anything about light sorcs :laugh: but just wanna make one for fun and mfing. All I need to know is if the charged bolts will have enough dmg to kill everything in norm cs( including diablo). Any help is appreciated.:grin:

level 20 Charged bolt with level 20 lightning as a synergy and level 20 lightning mastery :
Mana cost: 12.5
Lightning damage: 112 - 128 (ø120.5)
Number of bolts: 22
[Synergy] Lightning: +120% Lightning damage (6% / Lvl)

That should indeed be enough to kill Diablo and MF in normal CS. I'm not entirely sure if there are any lightning immunes in normal CS, I just remember viz is allways fire immune in normal.

You should be able to fill up the abovementioned skills at level 49. At that point you could have enough skillpoints if you aquire all the normal, nightmare and hell skillpoint quests. Level 49 is also required to be allowed to fill up your lightning mastery, so that's a lucky cooincidence.
I do advise getting a point in warmth, some magefists and a shard. Bolts are so much more fun when you can weave carpets on the ground. For Diablo it's probably best to teleport on top of him and then start bolting him, since then you will hit with the most bolts.
Bolts do not work very well when your target has a lot of life and is at the edge of the screen, since your bolts fan out and you won't hit your target with more then 2 bolts.

I should make one of these. I'll add it to my long list of builds to do. :)

ahh..thank you for the adivce. :) But why a point into warmth?

I figure that one point will help recover your mana since you will get +1 fire skills from the magefists, making warmth level 2 already. And perhaps you will have some more +skills elsewhere.
Cause I think this is one of those builds that uses mana much faster then the normal regenerate. This does offcourse depend on which casting breakpoint you are going for.
