Shockwave/Maul Bear Weapon Q

We all know that a Ribby makes a great Wolf weapon.... but how does it do with a Shockwave/Maul Bear? I got me a shael'd (non upped atm) Ribby sittin on my wolf and was considering a Bear as I either dont see any Bear players at all, or really bad ones.. :)

Haven't used a Bear either, but a Shael'd Ribby would still be an awesome Mauler weapon in any case. It has a speed of 8 frames straight off the bat, hitting 7 frames with 20% OIAS. Upgraded to Stalagmite, it also has an 8 frame speed straight out, and reaches 7 frames with 50% OIAS.

Heck, it also makes a pretty decent stick if you're going with Fire Claws too. A Shael'd Upped Ribby with just 5% more OIAS hits the 6 frame mark. It's slower than the usualy Shael'd Phase Blade/shield option, but it's still very fast. Dunno if it would be any better than using a weapon/shield, but with 50% CB it still would pack a punch in PvM either way.

Also, you're using Shockwave. Why are you worried about kill speed? :o
