Budget Orb Sorc?

Hello, I took a look at my characters today and noticed I don't have a single sorc. I know nothing about them. Could you guys post a build for a good orb rushing sorc. I was thinking something along the lines of:

20 orb
20 cold mastery
20 tele
1 static

enough str for gear and enough dex for shard, then rest vit.

Gear i was thinking basically hammerdin gear.

For cheap items for a rush sorc you can wear stuff like full iraths set, 3 soc diamond shield,twitch and shard. You will need two rare fcr res rings and res boots. With that, I dont think you will even have to add any to dex to wear shard since full iraths gives dex and twitch gives 10 dex. You will only need 45base str or even lower if you get rings that add str too. With that gear you will have high block and easy to reach 85all res in hell since full iraths gives +10 to all max res.
The type of orb sorc you make will depend on what you want to do. If you want to just rush and switch to a barb or hdin to do trav then you will only need 17 cold mastery on a pvm sorc(I think) so you could go 20orb,17cm,20icebolt and 20 tele. You will be able to rush without worry about mana costs but only thing is lord de maybe cold immune sometimes and there maybe cold immune around the room right outside of duriel chamber and hell trav. I just bring a barb or a hammerdin to kill cold immune and finish trav up.
(oh and if you put on a darkglow you will have 90 all res.. making those fc zons hit much lower on you:grin: )

another cheap build can be built around the mephy glitcher that Akukami published.

one variant which will return far more in wealth than it cost to build it is the shard/magefist/twitch/perfect ward route (or as mentioned the triple pdiamond kite/round shield).

Gradually replace the hat/boot/glove/rings with more and more resistance and/or twinker items as you find/acquire better gear for her.

your style of play will dictate the type of builds you find successful. many folks like a fhr/life/rezzy armor on a sorc. I managed to do quite well with the majority of my sorcs using twitch for the twinking (str/dex) and for the stellar blocking.

Getting a 30/20 is a big upgrade over a 3 pdiamond shield. When your block frames is worse than your hit recovery frames you'd be better off not blocking at all but unfortunately that's not an option in classic. Prioritise your resses with dual res rares and you should soon be able to use a 30/20 over a ward or pdiamond shield.

no question. that being said this is "budget" build and that twitch while helping the block, also helps with the "twinking" as well due to the str/dex.

I emptied out 14 mules yesterday on east nonladder, including at least 8 shards, 4 or 5 twitches etc. :undecided:

nearly all cleared out sorry man. :(

Just make some games called:

600k ur shard
600k ur mages
600k ur twich

people will come, and usually pretty quick too.

Ohh snap, got all my gear together and got my rush on. Hit about lvl 54 today after I got home from school. I have to say I'm impressed with how simplistic yet efficient this build is. :thumbsup:

85 all res in hell, I was teleing for CS at lvl 25. :afro:
