It's got no bonuses to Hurricane, which is really important. The points in Tornado don't help Hurricane either. Finally, the resists on Jalal's are muy importanto!

I'd take Jalal's over this.

Only if you must have that extra 'nado damage. It has no stats, and no FHR, and even with an Um, its res is crapola compared to a Jalal's (even though on windies I don't weigh res that heavily, as cyclone sets them all to 0 anyhow).

On the other hand...it does give free griz, so if you're into telestomping, it might be just the right combo of stun+damage. I'd still take Jalal's personally, though.

I might keep it, and just use it vs. fire sorcs. I mean, that fire res is pretty nice. Perhaps put a ral in it, if you can hit the 99 fhr breakpoint still with your gear.

Well, it's sexier than Jalal's but depending on what your Windy needs, I'm not sure it is better.

Wearing that pelt will grant you an extra ~550 Tornado damage. Nothing to sneeze at, but after PvP penalties it's only an extra 93 dmg a pop. (Less if they are using PDR)

Grizzly is also definitely good. Lets you save some skill points and I'm convinced that the telestomp with him vs some opponents would really work well.

If you weren't going to lose out too badly in the resists and FHR department, I'd use that pelt. For the sexy factor.

I guess the deciding factor is: what is the base item? Antlers? Wolf head? Chicken Beak? If it's one of the two former, then gogo style points!

Always liked stag horns on my casters :grin: And of course wolf heads on the wolves...but even if it had the godliest stats possible, I just don't think I could wear a chicken head in good conscience on my favorite class. Guess that's classic talking, what with channel looks counting and all :P

having bonuses to hurricane is not that important. Res is also a passup as you got cyclone.

A good pelt would have at least 1-2 open sockets and some fhr and life.

This is certainly a very viable helm. It has 5 tornado and the useful grizzly skill. The lack of extra skill bonuses to hurricane is not very important imo. I'd say use it for style points if your other gear can accommodate what your losing from jalals. I'd socket it with a perfect ruby so you can further multiply the life bonus with bo and oak.

Cool pelt. Add a socket and put Shael to it for 20fhr. Put pruby if you're hitting 99fhr already. With +1 grizzly mod you'll have completed windy build at lvl 92.
Life is pretty nice on it too (40 is perfect).

Id use it over Jalals because dmg>safety in sc.
If ur playing hardcore or no block use jalals ull need the fhr:)
