Hi all.
I am a huge lurker of this and many other forums. I have read posts here at diabloii.net for over 5 years and never posted until now. I have lurked so long that even though I have had at least one other account here before but have forgotten about it because of the years.
I play v1.11 RRM/RWM, not that it matters because I play self-found.
Well the reason why I have finally come out of the wood work and posted is that I have a nice story.
I have been doing AT runs over the summer having restarted single player in June. I have done what I estimate is 1000 runs, but I have not kept track whatsoever. It could be as low as 400. Until today I had found a few nice set TC87's but no uniques.
This morning on about my fifth run a Mavina's True Sight dropped and I said to myself "Cool another one of these. It is nice and hard to find but a griffon's eye would have been so much better." My first Mavina's True Sight was a sweet gamble from Anya.
I pick up the green diadem and continue with my run. The next pack drops a unique and I say to myself, just like I always do when a unique drops, "Sweet a unique. Eventually one of these will be a TC87."
Then I look again and notice "I haven't seen a unique item thats base item name looks like this before." Then comes "Holy **** its a Griffon's Eye!"
When I go to ATMA to check the odds for these drops with about 380 MF I find:
Mavina's True Sight: 1 to 15544
Griffon's Eye: 1 to 45964
The fact that these drops happened in consecutive packs puts, by my calculation, the odds at:
2 to 714464416
Thats even better odds than the time that I found a minor healing potion from hell baal :wink3:
The Griffon's also turned out to be Ethereal (GRRRRRRRRRR!) so one could multiply those odds by another 20x if one wanted.
Anyways, the drops weren't Tyrael's followed by failed unique sacred armour or anything, but Griffon's is my favorite TC87 and is just what I was looking for for my lightning amazon.
Thanks to all of the elite runner's around here who's godly drops keep me hunting.

By the way, I don't use ATMA for anything more than the drop calculator so I can't post the item readouts for you, sorry.
