View Full Version : My first Smiter + Fortitude Question

Hello all.

I'm in the process of making my first Smiter. I've almost got all of his gear together (Grief PB, Dracul's, Guilluame's, Gores, T-Gods, Ravenfrost). I still need an ammy, another ring and a shield. I was thinking about going with Sanctuary since I have a Mal sitting around and I figure 2 Ko's wouldn't be too hard to get. A good shield to put it in may be a bit harder I guess. I think I'm going to base my build off the 1-point Smiter guide. I read through it a few times, and I'd like to give a shot.

So I have 2 questions:

1) Would Sanctuary be ideal here, or no? If not, got some ideas?

2) I have the runes to make Fortitude (thanks to finally finding a HOZ). I just don't know what kind of armor to put it in. I have a 4os Dusk Shroud. Good enough, or go for something better?

hi there,
1. for a shield sanctuary will be good as it will give you a nice resist boost. However if you have tons of cash, kickin around. Make a treachery runeword for the fade prebuff (means you dont need sanc resists :D ) and then make an EXILE and use that as ure shield

2. most people prefer to put fort in an ARCHON PLATE, however honestly putting it in a dusk shroud or ap doesnt make too much of a difference (does it make any difference?)

good luck :D

It's all about the looks. I hate how my pala looked in a dusk shroud, so I made my fort in an archon.

Thanks for the help. I'll probably go for an archon plate just so my pali doesn't look so naked. :p

I'm not too rich, but Exile may be possible.

I'm running a sanctuary as my one and only shield on my V/T. I honestly love it.

the only difference putting a fort into a dusk shroud etc....would be the cool factor

I like to make my characters look as naked as possible using as little gear as possible while still being able to get by so a dusk works better for me than an archon plate. For you, an archon plate would look better in most opinions and even though harder to find could be worth it.
