Rabies question

This is probably asked a few thousand times but im going to ask it anyways. When i'm using rabies the screen says the damage is about 1k-1.2k in 9seconds well that looks cool but then i go bite a random monster the red things in the sides appear but only the bite damage cuts the hp of the monster, this happens with every monster in nightmare. As the rabies spreads the monsters infected by it take no damage at all and i am annoyed :/ can someone explain why this is to me.

Either they have lots of Poison Resist, or they have a lot more than 1.2k HP. Remember that it is only doing 111~133 Poison damage per second to a monster that has 0 poison resists.

mm maybe so but still i find it odd that the hp bar does not move at all when they are rabied :D

Rabies is horrible PvM unless you're doing upwards of 38k with Switch gear. Otherwise you won't be seeing any effect.

It's because your Rabies damage is so low (no synergies from creeper?) that...

Monster Regeneration > Rabies damage

Also, anything undead: skeletons, zombies, wrathes, etc are gonna have 50% poison reist in norm and 75% in nm. Anything with flesh like carvers, goatment, spearchicks.. are gonna have 0%. Gotta know your enemies :)

Poison nullifies Regen for the pison duration, dude :)
