Already tired of my Fury/Rabies build, and now I'm switching to pure fury. Debating on certain item pieces to use, and I need some help. Only going to be used for melee dueling. Wish we weren't dependent on WIAS since I'm getting sick of my runewords. Friend just an eth 190+ Razor the other day too which almost makes me want to remqake my Zealot, but charms are too expensive these days.

Guillaume's Face or Cerebus 4/2/115%+ AR?
Fortitude or Duress?
400 EBotDZ or 380 Grief?
Dracs vs. Bloodfist?
Max/Ar/Life Charms vs. SS Life GCs?
HoW or Oak?

What's the required IAS to hit max frames with Fury with a Grief PB?

- guilllaumes for most melee, cerebus in stash for ar/ow
- fort, duress if you have the stash space for ow (you could use it against bvb)
- what ever you like more, common setup is grief as main weapon and ebotd when you need range 3 ( I would use ebotd for for the most part, especially since you have 400ed botd and 380 grief )
- bloodfists (best gloves without any doubt, in my opinion)
- SS life gcs for above weapons
- oak, you can max both if you want (if you're high enough level)

-any IAS on grief is enough, with maxed werewolf there is no need for other source of WIAS

3/20/20's are more efficient than Life Shapers for a Pure Fury Wolf.

WW SIAS isn't the reason the Grief can be any IAS. 29 WIAS is the breakpoint for 9/5 Fury. The next Breakpoint is 44 WIAS. Grief gives 30-40 IAS so it falls nicely between that range.

Other than life, is there a big difference between SS GCs and 3/20/20s? I'm assuming more top end damage? And any recommendations on what to socket the helm?

More AR. I think SS 45 lifers edge 3x 3/20/20s in life though.

I typed WIAS, but I ment IAS from other equipement (EIAS should be the acronym, I think).
Stupid mistake, I wasn't thinking, I guess.
With that corrected, I stated that with WW maxed there is no reason for any other source of IAS then weapon, that's all. I'm well aware how shapeshifter attack speed works, maybe I didn't expess myself very well.

I would always choose ss skillers with life then max/ar/life scs for grief (botd) wielding, non titan, fury wolf.

3/20/20s should give more AR in the long run. However, lifers give more life. Your choice.

I think that sums it up.

Any major reason Fort over Duress? There's a vs. thread in the Barb forum, and number crunching shows they do pretty much equal damage.

Is that assuming OW lasts its full duration?

Ah, forgot about that. http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=301690

Did some trading today, tore apart my Fire Sorc and and Fury/Rabies Druid. Ending up with a 36/399 Grief, only to find out it was a Crystal Sword. DOH. :banghead: I think I should've stuck with WoW.

Yeah, it's assuming full OW Duration. Against Casters Duress wins out. However, unlike BvB, Fury v Fury doesn't last minuets. At most I've seen them last 15-20 secs. That means more than likely OW won't have the chance to apply for it's full duration, giving fort the edge in such matches.
