My rabies/fury wolf gear and questions

so i decided my first PvP character i'm gonna make this season is a fury/rabies hybrid with gear as follows.

jalals(um)
enigma
grief Pb
stormshield (um)
gore riders
ravens *2
trang ouls gloves
18/20 torch
3 skillers (one with +5 dexterity)
verdungo's/snowclash/thundergods depending on opponent

i am hunting to get...

anni
6 more skillers (one with fhr)
frw/resist life/resist sc's

but i'm not sure on which ammy to go for highlords/+3 shape and strength amulet or a nice rare i've found with 20 all with 44 to fire +22 strength and -1dr but no skills. i am lvl 42 at the moment with all points into vitality i'm trying to stick no point's into strength if possible.

another question swapping to increased poison damge after rabies increases it, does this apply for +skills or just facets?

i was planning for now until i can get some facets tto use a plague bearer/spirit on shift to increase damage after i hit with rabies will i get the +skill damge if i hit with the grief and then switch? getting +7 skills and -25%resists.

Stating around Enigma is the worst thing you can do for a Wolf... Also, + skills don't modify Rabies' poison bit rate. If you want the damage from Plague it'll have to be your biting weapon. Oh, and unless your ammy is +3 Shape 100 life, I wouldn't really bother. Highlord's is tough to beat for Fury/Rabies.

word. Only chars that should stat around it are caster chars such as windy druids, boners, hammerdins etc.

why is it such a bad idea? i can't afford a bramble or a fortitude as well so i thought i may as well. i see your point on amulets though the ds did seem alot to be paaing up on. what order would u recomend sinking skill points into stuff i was thinking.

So do you always use highlords in melee (except for hi def barbs / pallies) ? On my fury/rabies I always use angelic combo + raven against melee, and with that combo I get around 17k ar. Could I be getting away with less and still benefit from highlord's +1 and DS?

If you cant afford fortitude or bramble then you are going to have some problems in PvP.
Stating around Enigma only nets you around 500+ life. Being stuck in the same armor for every duel yields you many deaths.

Odd, That was my AR before Angelics. With one Angelic combo I'd hit ~24k AR. What level are you? Highlords should be your main ammy unless you find some GG rare. I normally reserve Angelics for Smiters and occasionally Barbs depending on how hard they are to hit.

I'm lvl 89, with 1 point in WW if that matters significantly, but after +skills my WW is lvl 19.

I just checked and yea, I get 17k AR with 1 angelics and no dlimb enchant. What are your two rings that you use with highlords?

I used Dual Ravens >.>. Never found a rare I liked.

Okay, I'll give the highlords + dual ravens a try. Aside from losing about 6k AR, I also noticed that my health dropped by about 600 hp -_-

what gear do you use to get ar? purely ravens? or do you use a few ar charms as well? thinking about it swapping out one skiller for a fhr/117 ar gc i have might be more beneficial to me than losing out on highlords for metalgrid or angellics combo if i was on NL and i had an old skool highlords as featured in stoutewolfs excellent guide that would be awesome but alas, the 20%ias is wasted on me. does anyone know of any good ar calculators?

Well, ideally you'd want 10x 3/20/20 charms to help bolster your AR. I can't remember my exact gear since I used Fury/Rabies like a year ago >.>

how do you get resistances as well with 3/20/20's? this build is for general pubbing for the moment at leastuntil i get the hang of PvP. i'm gonna aim to overstack a little bit too so i'm onlr going for a 4 frame hit recovery. wolves seem to have an awesome recovery anyway.
