So im making a fireclaws bear, ive maxed all the synergies and the fc themselves and am currently using a ribby. I want to however move onto making the Beast runeword, but am unable to decide which weapon would be the best to use for this. Im leaning towards a zerker axe but would appreciate some advice/suggetions?

beast is a horrible weapon to use on an FC Druid.

it has cb and ias. +skills to wb and lyc. not to mention the fanatasicm aura. these should all work out to be good on a fc bear shouldnt they?

no it will not.
i know the stats look pretty, but swinging at around 10-12 frames will only get you killed.

so the fanat aura does not increase atk speed at all?
also im calculating to be hitting at 9 frames, which although is really not great, i only play sp, so not a huge factor against most monsters.

It is if you go max block >.>. Also, Gris Caddy would give more efficient damage per second than beast.

ok, so beast is pretty crap in other words is what we are getting at her then?
in which case, i have the runes to make a botd. is this weapon feasible and if so which weapon should i aim to be getting for a fc bear? obviously it needs to be ethereal so is there a way to get a normal wep and make it so?
would a giant thresher be good? i have a magic one which im currently trying to roll cruel on? can i disenchant it and socket it as well as turn it ethereal

If you want something for a FC Druid that packs decent phys damage as well as maintains a high speed attack Gris caddy is pretty much your only choice. However, BotD PB hits seven frame attack, six with any kind of OIAS. It won't be eth though >.>

A botd GT would hit 7 frames too, 6 with 70% OIAS.

ebotd is also a crap weapon to use on an FC druid.
you got to understand that fc druids CANT use weapons that barbs or wolves can use.
Unless you're fine swinging horribly slow.
you play single player... and found zod, vex... all those runes? I think I played for 2 years strong with a lvl 92 WW-IK barb and highest I found was Gul. That makes me jealous -.-
In that case, get a 4os griswold caddy and just put 4xshaels in it. Do a few hell/nm countess and you'll have 'em in no time.
The base speed of these Zerker axes and weapons you mentioned is way too slow, you can't just look at the raw wias on the weapon.
Fireclaws true effectiveness comes from its damage/time... in order to truly take advantage of this, u need a weap with a very fast base speed and shael the crap outta it, such as a 6x'shael' Phase Blade if you can find one. Best bet, hell cows and lots of MF.

IIRC the 4 frame BP for Gris Caddy is 105. So three Shaels and a RJoF would be more efficient.

well i transmuted up to the zod. you would NOT believe how long that takes. which left me with basicaly NO runes left, so i did a heap of countess runs again. as in a massively really crappy amount of countess runs witm my pure light sorc, got extremely lucky after about the one hundreth time and started finding decent runes of her and transmuted again. ive been playing for a long long time now.
so i should forget about a weapon that does even a decent amount of phys dam and instead focus entirely on a mega fast wep, ie. a 6xshaeled PB and relie entirely on my fc dam? i was kinda hoping not to have to switch wep and tactics wen i come across FI as it gets so dreary.

Gris Caddy is pretty much your only choice unless you want to use BotD PB for style points.

Well Jary just got dropped a respect peg. You can sit on the next-to-bottom rung with Kiba. :wink3: SP rocks the casbah and I've played it off an on for years (decades even!). Its lag-free beauty was always there for me, during a realm down, during high ping periods, during the times that I questioned the mentality of average b.net players, and during the times I just wanted to solo play with the coolest person ever (me). Yes indeed, SP doth much pwn. It's just sad that people like arcannis (an obvious shady player, yep, I went there) are associated with it.

crap how could i forget you cant have any luck in sp and that its impossible to transmute to a zod!!! NOW everyone knows my dirty little secret!
but if im such a shady character, why wouldnt i already have a perfect ebotd, instead of wastin hour after futile hour trying to find socketed equip??? im not the type of person to download item editors/creators, hack or mods..... hangon, why didnt i think of that earlier! well guess im of to start dl'ing.....

To keep this somewhat on-topic, I'd suggest a 110% IAS phaser for a FC bear. Just a gg weapon for the build.

Well, you'll have to forgive me for being a bit skeptical but someone who claims to have played for as long as you have should know most of the ins and outs of D2. Your lack of general knowledge, your lack of reputation (low post count and nobody has heard of you), and your impressive collection of runes kind of meshes together to paint a somewhat negative picture of you, in my eyes at least. I've seen a lot of people claim to have cubed a Zod but the odds of doing that in solo SP are terribly small. Sure you can be lucky, but it sounded like you got most of your runes from the Countess. Do you know how many Ists it takes to make a Zod (even if I were to assume you had a couple high runes to begin with)? Maybe you're a good guy. Maybe I have you pegged wrong. Maybe I don't...

I didn't realize you'd get so worked up about the term "shady". You yourself chose to read it in a negative light. I, on the other hand, meant it only as a compliment implying that your large body excelled at blocking out the sun.

From this post I see that you dupe runes, basically you find some high runes, multiply it and get zods and vexes etc. It must've taken very long to dup... I mean cube them all up. You poor baby:hanky: If you're going to trade or MP in our forums(SPF) PM the mods first. Btw. There's this guy in SPF who has been playing the game since it's release, every day for 10+ hours, he has found so far 2 Zods(I think, they're both cubed), so if you claim to play 5+ hours a day since the game's release I could believe you, but this way... Sorry...

how could he have them cubed since there hasnt been ladder fromthe beginning of LoD.
honestly i dont believe that someone would cube that many runes in sp but....i dont care he betrays himself if he does so and if he really did this many work its the better:)

You can believe it or not to. Your choice:wink: But I would rather believe someone who plays every day 10 hours and more to have a zod rune than someone who claims that he ran countess and cubed runes up to zod. Oh and, the zods are cubed from chams iirc, I'm not certain, haven't been checking it much... And it's no crime as long he doesn't trade and MP with us:tongue:.

Actually, you don't need a mod to upgrade higher runes in SP, but you do need a mod for Ladder only RWs.
