The Ribcracker staff

Hi everybody.

I've read alot on this site about the Ribcracker and how well it suits a Wolfie, so I was wondering if people could post where they found their Ribcrackers so it might ease up on the finding process to us others. :-)

I'm on my first druid ever, and so far I like it alot! I'm running two-handed almost constantly in WW-shape and using Fury (probably as 90% of the WW's do).

So, if you feel you've got something to contribute to where to obtain the Ribcracker, please feel free to post and help out.

There is no magic spot to find it. Nightmare would be your best choice if you do go MF. Other than that, buy one with pgems =D

Thanks for the reply guys! I'm finishing Normal mode as we speak, so I'll have a look on Nightmare. I do prefer to do things the proper way, i.e. finding it. :) But if trading is what it takes I guess I have no choice.

Btw, does anyone have any idea what it will cost in pgems? Never done this before so..

The price will vary based on the enhanced damage %, but even a very good one will be cheap so try to get one that is 280%+.

Regarding finding one, they aren't that rare, but you never seem to find something when you are looking for it (just like real life), but you'll probably find something else good instead. You'll find an Occy when you need a Humonculous or War Travellers when you need a HoZ or a Fire skiller when you need a Shape skiller. As the others have already said, that's what trading is for. Trade away pgems or other stuff of value that you don't need right now to get the things you do.

better do mephisto he is not that hard in my expierience and drops more uniques.

I found one at him and 1ribracker at a random Monster in hell.

last time i played i found one at Andariel, 2at random bosses in tc85.

Best option getting one is do mephisto and trade the zaka he drops from time to time :D (even in nightmare the best pala shield, thats the best reason to mf at him! ).

If u play Europe i can give u one free (think i got two non upped on one of my mules^^)

Found an ethereal one in throne of destruction from a normal monster in hell diff. , then the game timed out and reset before i even ided it....

Looked it up in a Calculator:
300mf:
-Mephisto Nightmare: 1:1000
-Andy:1:2800 c(quest 1:1000)
-Travi Nightmare:1:50.000+

Best place to find is Mephisto and Andy an nightmare.

Just play AND GET TO HELL then u get tradebalsand u can trade one because most people dont know how nice this weapon is its pretty cheap

A slight problem tho' is that I'm nowhere near 300mf. But I'll play through all diff's and see if it turns up, both in Nightmare and Hell.

Seems like there's a half-decent chance it might turn up in Nightmare diff. too.

Mustermann came to my rescue, fortunately. What a hero!
I'll still have my eyes open for it tho', it would be nice to see it drop. Seems like (after a brief recap) most got it in Hell difficulty, so I guess that's where the chances are biggest.

All I can say is kudos to Mustermann and good luck to everyone else needing it, I sure hope this thread helps you on your quest!

Not exactly the biggest chance in hell, but more like thats where most people spend their time MF =D

I just mentioned NM since it is much easier to hit more bosses and according to the drop calculator it is the starting point for a ribcracker to drop. Don't worry, you will find yours :D

I currently have 3 ribbies 1 278% ED, 1 291% ED and and an Eth ribbie.

I found one in NM Worldstone keep, one in the Kurast sewers and the eth one in Chaos Sanctuary.

None of the bosses have ever dropped one for me.

if you want a ribby i second trading for it. on europe trading forum it will go for 5 to 10 pgems. look for one with 270ed or more, as i was advised.
