Bowazon - need help!

I'm starting a bowazon and its my first amazon char. I usually have played pallys or barbs . . .

anyways, I know nothing about them and I havn't been able to find a good guide or build for PvM?

could anyone link me to or suggest a good guide or build?

Bowazons are a great choice!

However, the techniqes to play them are vastly different from the ones employed by Paladins and Barbarians.
(Unless of course you are a Ranger Paladin or Double Thrower Barbarian build, then they are kinda similar in the way they are played.)

There are a few different 'types' of Bowazon. If you want to specialize in the Cold arrows, then the Frostmaiden build is for you. See the stickies for a nice description of this build. I have made several and they all worked very well. The Fire based bow skills are built similar to the Frostmaidens in that you will max a skill and it's synergies- and that is your main damage dealer. Fast shooting is helpful, but the emphasis on these builds is pierce and +skills.

Now, Strafers (Bow users who specialize in the skill 'Strafe') are rapidly becoming my favorite bow build. They are wicked fast shooters and can literally clear entire screens of enemies with a few clicks. They can also do a bang up job on Bosses with a little Crushing Blow/Critical Strike/Deadly Strike/ED. They are an absloute blast to play. If you are a heavily experienced Diablo player and want a fun build that is fast paced and very deadly. . .this is for you. They are Hell Viable (and even Uber Viable if set-up and played correctly- see CrawlingDeadMan's thread).
