So question is how much str should fury/rabies have? I was thinking that my highest item would be coa (174 str), so 134 base str should be enough? Or i am missing something since it sounds quite high

You need enough to wear your highest str-req item after other sources are taken into account. Remember that if other sources give +str, you'll need enough to wear those before that bonus as well. Kind of like a step ladder. Example:
My necromancer has a base strength of 15.
His Anni and Torch gives a combined +35, so his strength is at 50
50 is enough for his Enigma armor which gives +63 strength at his level.
50+63=113, not enough for Stormshield unless I add 43 points. My strength will be higher than 156 after wearing Stormshield because of the shield's bonus to strength, but I can't calculate that into the process because I don't get that bonus until I have 156.
(those numbers and items are made up, I didn't put 43 points into strength on my necro ;))

what throttle said is pretty much a good idea, but keep in mind your not a caster character so stating around enigma is a bad idea. unless you're fine wearing an enigma all the time.
ps this is assuming your pvp.

I want to say my old fury-rabies druid had about ninety something base points in strength. This may sound like a good bit invested, but this will allow you to use a Bramble when you need the higher poison damage (see smiters and barbs), Fortitude if you want to rely more on pure fury damage, and you can always fall back on Enigma when you need the fr/w for mobility. Also keep in mind you'll have maxed lycanthropy and a bunch of points in oak sage (and bo if you really want) to offset 'all those points that could have gone into vitality.'

Stat enough to wear Bramble in Fort with the rest of your gear.
Most of the hybrids i used had between 90 to 100 base strength.

It depends on what gear you have to back it up!
For example, I made a titan fury/rabies and ended up with between 6 and 7k life and had MASSIVE more fury damage than any vita hybrid. Sort of like - Hey wolves already have good life, why not go all out damage, especially since you can just reshift at 1 hp in public games.
But if you want to be typical, and you plan on using 20 stat torch and anni, then you need a base of 96 str if planning to only use jalals, or 116 str if planning to use cerebrus or +2 druid +3 fury +3 rabies 2x facet pelt.

Also note that Jud is richer than... really rich people. Titan Wolf PvP isn't suggested unless you have some huge pool of wealth to sink into it. Then again, your def will be well over 10k >.>
