Gentlemen,

I was looking through some things and gambling last night and I was wondering, am I working against myself sometimes when I gamble at high clvl if I want certain mods on my Circlets?

Mainly, I want to gamble Circlets that have the higher odds of getting the Chromatic prefix. And I prefer a 2nd prefix, anything will do from damage reduction values, to life or mana, but I really, really like it when it has `of Fortune.' I like the blues because I can socket them with 2 sockets, and insert topaz. Something with about 30% res all, and over 70MF is just sweet to me. I like using these items better than the most popular uniques. Granted a super good rare circlet with similar stats instantly gets my attention if it has plus skills as well, but those are very rare to get high values on these mods I'm after.

So I was wondering if someone could help me out with this who may be adept in this kind of thing. I'm just scratching the surface with it, so looking for aid. What would be the better character level to go for this, would it mean not going as high to prevent certain higher level mods from being gotten, thus increasing my odds of getting Chromatic more often? I know they can get a huge amount of mod possibilities, but I'm wondering if I can limit it at all to try and make my chances of Chromatic ________ of Fortune to appear with better odds.

Chromatic is a level 55 prefix for circlets. The only circlet prefixes above level 55 are those that give +2 to skill levels (90) and +3 to skilltab levels (60).

For suffixes, Fortune is a level 16 suffix, while Luck is a level 26 suffix.

So you'd have the highest chances of getting your wanted prefixes and suffixes if you could sometimes not get level 60 affixes, but you could always get level 55 affixes. The most suitable level for that is 58 or 59, iirc.

don't cirklets and the like have magic modifiers, or something the like letting them get affixes higher then other items of that lvl can have. The magic lvl is 3. doesn't this mean that you are best around 55-56?

57 would be the best. The alvl of a gambled Circlet would then be between 55 and 64 (meaning: Chromatic is always possible, with a 50% chance of being too low for +3 skills tab prefixes)

i think i will give 51-60 (clvl - 4 to clvl + 5)

Itīs clvl -5 to clvl +4, so at level 57 the ilvl would be 52-61. Then add the magic level of 3 to get the alvl range I mentioned.
