Lightning/ES Sorc

I made a 8x Light sorc with the following:

Skills:
Max Lightning
Max Charged Bolt
Max Lightning Mastery
Max Telekinesis
1 Teleport
1 ES
1 Warmth
Rest into Chain Lightning

Planned gear:
Shako
Hoto
35 Upped Vipermagi
Maras
35 Spirit Monarch
1 Ravenfrost + 1 10% FCR rare ring
15/15 Sandstorm Boots
Frostburns/Magefists

Merc:
Eth Infinity Elite Polearm
Eth Fortitude
Eth Andy's "Ral"

For my stats I'm putting strength nicely so I can use the Spirit monarch, and non into dexterity.

So even with 1 Sorc torch + anni + gear, the total skills added into Es would be around 15-20.

20 ES gives about 75% damage to mana.

I'm quite confused with my build, especially with the Energy/Vitality part.
Should I put more into energy to get more mana, or stick with vitality?
Options(without BO):

1) life 1k / rest into mana
2) mana 1k / rest into life
3) both life and mana are equal

can anyone help me out with this? :wave:

Ah so the ideal one is to have 1.5k life/3k+ mana after BO for a max TK/1 ES Lightning sorc.

Can you calculate for me the actual life/mana I need before BO?

i don't think I can afford a CTA until maybe Diablo/Baal drops me something good, like a CoA/Griffon/Fathom which is pretty rare.

well, 800 life and 2400 mana would give you roughly 1350/3500 with bo

Being chilled doesn't slow your casting time, so I'd agree with Yaotzin. Unless you really, really need the +dex and Cold absorb, there are better ring choices than Ravenfrost.

Personally, I'd choose to use either Magefists/Trangs with Resistance/Mana/Life rare rings, or Frostburns with 2xFCR rare rings (with Resistance/Mana/Life ;-). Why? You get 105 FCR from Spirit/VMagi/HotO, so you only need another 12 to get the next Lightning breakpoint.

BTW, you didn't list a belt. If you have Arachnids Mesh, that makes my previous point about FCR breakpoints somewhat moot.
