so what are pros and cons for upgrading eth titan

Pros (actually only 1): Higher physical damage component of the Javelin itself.
Example:
Base thrown damage of Ceremonial Javelin= 18 - 54 (36 avg)
Base 1 handed Damage 18 - 35 (26.5 avg)
vs.
Base thrown damage of Matriarchal Javelin= 35 - 66 (50.5 Avg)
Base 1 handed Damage 30 - 54 (42 avg)
So if you using the Javs to deliver physical damage and for leech, then it makes sense to up them so that you leech more and do more damage.
-------------------------
Cons: Higher Strength, Dexterity, and Level requirements.
Example:
Base Requirements of a Ceremonial Javelin= Level 26, 25 STR, 109 DEX.
Base Requirements of a Matriarchal Javelin= Level 48, 107 STR, 151 DEX.
Now all these numbers are based on regular Ceremonial and Matriarchal Javelins, not the actual Titans Revenge Uniques.
The actual Titans have the same STR and DEX requirements, but the level requirements are higher if I am not mistaken (Titans= require Level 42, non-upped) I do not know what the level requirements go up to when you upgrade them, as I have never actually done it myself.
Hope this helps. . .

No, he's saying that the strength requirement will change, to that of a Matriarchal Javelin. He's not sure what the new level requirement will be, but it will likely be around 60.

Man, that's a nice set of sticks you got there CDM.
Real nice.
u should always up any eth titans as it gives u a much better jab vs LIs. Besides, most lite zons use enigma so the str req is not even an issue. The dex might be an issue if ur pure vit, but if u choose max block(I highly recommend block), the dex req wouldnt be a problem.

If your merc has Infinity, then you dont need eth upped Titans. The few monsters that their immunity dont get broken, your merc will handle just fine alone. The reason to use a normal unupped Titans, is that the reqs will be higher and you will have to wait for them to replenish if they are eth. This always annoys me, so now I always use normal Titans, just 1gold repair and you are good to go out in the field again.

yeah, i agree with the non eth part in some circumstances. when i run chaos with my zon i will run out after a few games if they're full games. when i'm solo though it takes fewer throws to kill and i dont usually run out. i just keep a set of non eths in my stash for when i need them.
