Bow zon

hey i have so far made a gf/mf barb/hammerdin and an orb sorc so i think its time to make a fun char to paly around on. im thinking the bow zon since i have found found nearly a full setup in the last week of mfing.

i plan on putting around 85str in her and the rest into dex. is there a ratio between dex and damage increase?

what ias breakpoints can i hit with a large siege bow?

any tips would be great!

with this maxed i will need level 67 so if i do find a nice +2ammy im covered.

Since you are obviously making a pvp bower, I have to suggest that you add some life to your fragile ama. And you going to need rings with resistances also. Its not that easy to avoid sorc that tele on u and orb.

Personally, i find slow missiles (got 6 to it with items) to be a nice add to my amas options. Its very nice vs fballers. And helps vs bonemancers too.



Siegebow reaches same frame rates as Gothic. In short you need 50 extra ias on top off that 20 from your bow.

You need 56% IAS for 10 fpa, 89% IAS (unreachable, max being 80) for 9. So you're there already. Points in dexterity increase bow damage, I think it's simply 1%ed per point in dex. I'd try and get an amulet with a hefty bit of strength or dex too with min or max over the extra +skill. I don't know whether this is pvp or pvm, I assume pvp with the guided arrow?

Lal! My bad. Phool is right and im wrong...

I said needs same as gothic but thought of my lovely rune (from Monzee) when said that you need 50 ias on top of the 20 from bow (rune needs 43~50 to reach 9 frames).
Which gives us 56-20 = 36, so 40 ias is enough :embarassed:

thanks guys. its purely for pvp, last bower on classic had all the nice dupes and still had trouble soloing mosnters. is not a really serious character jsut a break form mfing. a fwe people i ahve talked to ingame recomend a cold zon or fire zon instead so i may consider that. cold zon with pierce could work quite nicely in pvm(im usually a mfer/pvm player). after all the negatives i heard form people on diablo im starting to have second thoughts on a ga zon. anyway im making a zon, jsut choosing what type :)

I would add one to valk. I have a pvp bow zon and valk is very useful. Using it vs a foh that doesnt have enough fhr can give you a win over them.(valk hits them while your shooting them making them not able to attack)If you lvl past 67 I would add to slow missle like Lorg says. I have a high lvl slow missle and it works good vs fballers but alot harder to beat a good bone necro. If you want res I would only try to max fire res since sorcs have cold mastery and your life is low.. you will be a 1 hit kill for nearly all of them. FOH pallys have convic.. so getting enough lr will be hard and if you ever fight a lighting sorc just use slow missle.Fire res not that hard to max with hotspurs so I would only worry about that if any res.

Just make a Ga zon. Make it an Nm dueler and you will have the fun u want from it. Its not an über dueler, but it can kill some sorcs and barbs and hammerdins. Fohhers are hard and bonemancers, but bug amas can be killed with irathas on, if you do not build a glass cannon. My ama at level 62 has around 600-700 life all res maxed and cold & light even stacked a bit depending what im wearing (found nice prism amu with 57 cold and similar to light. Boots with 36 cold 39 light + couble of kicky min life res rings).

Maybe all should make bowers and we can make duel games zvz only :evil: !

Wouldn't a Cold zon be a fair amount more useful in the long run (CS runs)
