Assuming I want certain items (unique pole arms) I have looked up their TC and found most of what I want to drop from TC 60 or 39, which basicly translates into act five unique bosses in normal and NM. What would be the best creature to hunt for these elite pole arms, or rather the best way to go about my search?

Baal runs, Meph runs, etc.

so those guys can drop a TC lvl 39/60 as long as they listed TC is higher than the said TC's? Is there a way to figure out a percentage?

Yes, the SPF has a utility named ATMA that lists drop percentages for the monsters. Download the utility and then you can see who has the best chance of dropping whatever item you need.

The ATMA application can give you drop chances for every item for every monster in the game. For unique polearms from TC 60 and TC 39 (Bonehew and Blackleach Blade, respectively), the drop chances for selected act bosses are as follows, with zero MF:

Bonehew:
Hell Mephisto: 1/1022
Hell Diablo: 1/1050
Hell Baal: 1/1060
NM Baal: 1/1200
Hell Andariel: 1/2302

Blackleach Blade:
NM Mephisto: 1/1372
NM Diablo: 1/1432
NM Baal: 1/1483
Hell Mephisto: 1/1648
Hell Diablo: 1/1692
Hell Baal: 1/1707
Normal Baal: 1/2304
Hell Andariel: 1/3561

So, you get the best chances for a Bonehew from Hell Mephisto, while you get the best chances for Blackleach Blade from Nightmare Mephisto (although Hell Mephisto also has good chances there). So I'd advise you to run Hell Mephisto, if you are able to :)

The SPF is the Single Player Foum here. http://forums.diabloii.net/forumdisplay.php?f=3

Enter the first thread and read the paragraph about ATMA. It will provide a link to download ATMA.
