So I want my merc to be better suited for handling the tomb vipers in the halls of vaught. He must use infinity as his weapon so no pdr there, I also would like him to have some life leech as a way of replenishing his life.

This leaves either armor or the helm completely open, with the other being limited by life leech. I am wondering what the best setup would be... right now I was thinking a sol'd vampire gaze and with a sol'd gladiators bane... but I would like more options?

Another thing to note is that overall surviability/versitility would be prefered over a slightly higher pdr number. Any suggestions are welcome.

Andariel's Visage for the leech, Gladiator's Bane for the DR. I would socket the armor with an IAS jewel and the helm with Ral or, if you can afford it, a fire res jewel with a nice second mod, like IAS or FHR.

Don't the tomb vipers do more damage than glad bane reduces? All the people I know use sol'd gladbanes and 2 sols in helm.

4x sol ethereal jeweler's sacred of amicae+andariel's sol'd :lipsrsealed:

glad's bane is an excellent merc armour in general though, I'd go with that. Glad's bane alone will about half the damage I should think. I'd be more worried about keeping yourself alive than the guy who doesn't have RIP though.
