Need your advice

I just found a crown shield with 31 defense, 55 block and 26% resist all. My paladin is level 47 at the moment and I mainly use holy shock for killing. Would it be good to use this shield for Spirit runeword? The defense is really low and the blocking is average, but I think the resists are nice. So what do you think?

Here's the stats for Spirit, so you don't have to look it up yourself:

+25-35% Faster Cast Rate (varies)
+55% Faster Hit Recovery
+250 Defense Vs. Missile
+22 To Vitality
+89-112 To Mana (varies)
Cold Resist +35%

The runes are considered easy to obtain - you'll certainly find more of them later. So since it will help you straight away, I say go for it!

Later on you will find shields with even higher defense and up to 45% resistance which you can use to make a Spirit. In fact, Spirit is such a good runeword, it is considered "end game" equipment for many characters (including Tesladins).

Agree with the above poster. Runes are bloody easy to find.

The FHR, Resistances, Life, Mana, are just too sexy to give up.

If you're in Nightmare already (which you probably are at that level), then run the Countess over and over until you get an Amn. That's what I did when the ladder first began. Or trade for one if you're on BNet - there are plenty of Amn's floating around. :)
