I have a level 84 zon which specializes in GA, Strafe, and LF (pretty cookie cutter, but being able to kill in hell is a newand amazing experience for me). I have the complete mav's set, what gear (boots, rings, ammy) are ideal for filling the rest of the slots? What is the best way to maximize damage? I have found myself using the atma's ammy b/c of the ctc aplify damage which is pretty sweet. Is this common or used at all?
The rest of my gear consists of a ravenfrost ring, the waterwalk boots, and a rare ring with LL, +AR, and + 14 dex.
One more thing, mf is not a priority for me, killing speed is; and I can't really afford godly gear.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
Also does someone know how "fires magic arrows" affects the damage of GA, if at all?
Thanks in advance!
Edited to include list of my current equips, put in note about mf/gear.
You own a really nice set. I built a Frostmaiden for it recently. Consider War Traveler's for the +10 str, +10 vit, and most importantly, 10-25 off-weapon added damage. With high dex, it adds a lot of damage, especially with Critical Strike and Amp Damage multiplying it much. If running bosses, Goreriders could also be a good option for the Crushing Blow and Open Wounds. Waterwalks are nice for the big hp and dex boost, but they may not give you as much damage as the War Travs or Goreriders would.
Because you have Strafe, I'd think Atma's is probably the best option for you if you're reaching the 120% IAS breakpoint required for 2 fps Strafe w/ a Grand Matron Bow (like Mav's, Shael + 2 IAS jewels in your equipment's sockets). Atma's is really nice on Strafers, when every arrow can carry effects and trigger Amp on enemies. Casting Amp doubles your physical damage and can remove physical immunities from many monsters. With Critical Strike or Deadly Strike on top of Amp, you'll do 4x damage. If not, perhaps consider adding a Cat's Eye or Highlord's Wrath. I think Cat's Eye is better than Highlord's in this case, because you will probably have decent Critical Strike from Mav's big +skill bonuses. Highlord's would be better if you planned to use Deadly Strike to substitute for Critical Strike. As I mentioned, with Mav's set, the +skills should give you a decent Critical Strike which can be further improved with a few points added. Your LL ring and Ravenfrost all seem to be good. You are probably quite near your optimal equipment for this build.
Also to take advantage of your Amp Damage and Critical Strike, think about loading up as many +max damage charms as possible. +3 max damage small charms or +9-10 max damage grand charms will make life worse for your enemies.
