Unstacking keys ???

I have not played D2 LOD for years , downloaded eastern sun to spice things up a bit [single play] For some cube recipes I need one key , complete mystery , how do you unstack one key ???

AFAIK, it can't be done. You could try and see of Akara (or whichever merchant you prefer) is selling individual keys. Leaving town and returning makes them reset their wares.

when buying keys from a merchant, if they sell 1 key, buy 1
if they sell 2, and you have an odd number, buy til its 13 (12 in a stack+1)
if they sell 3, you need to have 4, 7, or 10 keys in a stack
if they sell 4, you need to have 5, or 9

you can get 1 key eventually
