View Full Version : Does ED Jewel increase Smite Dmg?

Currently not sure what to socket my upped Swordback Hold for my LLD smiter. Was thinking of a ED jewel with stats for it. Does ED jewels on a shield increase the smite dmg? Otherwise, what would be a better LLD socket for the shield?

No, enhanced damage from equipment does not affect Smite. I'll let the LLD crowd suggest what's the best alternative!

If that is the case, I think I'd just stick to a p diamond. Unless any other LLD experts here have any better ideas...

If you don't have max block and don't want to pour points into dexterity and more into vitality, put an Eld rune in the shield, it gives +7% blocking, depends on what level your LLD would be, Shael rune wouldn't be bad either but if you want a level 30 Smiter, I'd rather go with Ryhme RW.

It's almost a proven fact Akaran Targe Spirit works best ;)

Dont socket a shael in it, you already have 2 frame blocking with holy shield so the 20 more wont get you even one frame increase (you'd need 86).

If you lack in resists and are dueling casters frequently, pdia wouldn't be a bad choice.

Well I'm NL so a cheap spirit would still cost much more than I'd want to pay for.

Thanks guys. I'd check which I need more. Resists or blocking.

Wrong. enhance damage from equipement such as shields, armor DOES in fact affect smite damage...

Well I'm NL so a cheap spirit would still cost much more than I'd want to pay for.



Try the trade forum - many people play ladder only and I bet there are spirits gathering dust on NL mules that will go for a low price, in particular if you are not looking for a perfect one.

maybe later. but for now the point of this build is to spend as little as possible and still be good for duels. dun wanna spend more than 1 hr of value for any of the items. lol

Like arbing said off-weapon ED does increase smite damage. It just doesn't show in your LCS.

ARGHHHHH...was chaos lvling the char and i accidentally overshot lvl 30...gotta grush another char again...... =/
