I started an amazon that is currently in act 5 and level 32.

I dunno what attack skill(s) to use.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna max guided arrow for act bosses.

I dunno what skill to use for multiple enemies. I guess it depends on if strafe can hit the same target multiple times with it being the only guy (act bosses) no pierceing. Because if it's true you can hit 5 times then I wont need to max guided afterall.

that and I want to finish the build off by level 80-85.

Strafe has a next delay of 4 frames, so not all arrows will hit if you shoot faster against a single target. Guided is ok, but maxing it is a waste in pvm if you ask me.

The best zon skill for taking bosses is charged strike, but on a bowzon I guess you'll stick to strafe or 1 point guided.

For multiple enemies you got multiple shot, strafe or lightning fury. LF is the fastest killer assuming they aren't immune, multiple should mostly be used if you got a high end bow like wf or faith.

k so with maxed out attack speed I could hit baal with strafe 5 times from 1 a attack?

and what's wrong with guided arrow it'd be good for bosses b/c of it always hitting and has more ED then the other skills when maxed.

Strafe: http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=146666

GA is ok, but those points don't really do that much difference compared to a level 1 (+skills) GA, you'd be better of in pvm if you spend them on other useful skills. You could go hybrid with LF or FA for example.

I think you should use multiple shot cuz when you're gonna hit 1 enemy you use guided arrow. When you shoot with strafe you cant move so you'll be an easy target.

. . .When you shoot with strafe you cant move so you'll be an easy target. . .

This is a valid point, however. . .

I find that when you strafe at a crowd of monsters, the ones that are being effected (either by being hit or by the arrow missing them) will also stop and either go into 'hit' animation, or they will stop and go into 'block' animation. But in either case. . .they are also stopped- or at least slowed. Any Strafer that would charge headlong into a pack of monsters and let off a strafe is asking for certain doom. Played correctly, you should never have to worry about this 'strafe-lock' syndrome that everyone talks about. Run to an open area with a few seconds distance and let 'er Rip.

Also- Cold charms work wonders for slowing packs down with strafe.

I use the ice skill to freeze the monsters, then strafe them the death.

Sequence goes like this: Freeze, straaaaaafe, freeze, straaaafe etc..

Works incredibly well...

In WSK runs you can lock every wave into frozen stillness whilst you flay them with strafe and multi ...

As far as guided arrow goes, I never use it much at all in PVM.

This is true but you're only firing one arrow at a time. strafe has less ED but shoots more arrows in the same amount of time. An additional benefit is you get that many more times to set off curses, OW, DS/CS, CB or whatever else has a percentage chance to take effect.

I think you should use multiple shot cuz when you're gonna hit 1 enemy you use guided arrow. When you shoot with strafe you cant move so you'll be an easy target.

This is why fast Strafe, Valk, Decoy, knockback/slow/cold and merc are important for a Strafer. You're less of a target when three prime targets are between you and enemies.

If you want to freeze most stuff solid for several seconds at a time and explode tight packs with a few shots, go with Frozen Arrow (requires maxing both FA and Cold Arrow for max damage).

If you want to trigger a lot of neat effects like elemental damage, Amp, Deadly Strike, Slow, Open Wounds, Crushing Blow, etc., go with Strafe, where every arrow can trigger one of these effects.

If you want to just wipe the screen ahead of you, use Multishot, although its ability to proc effects is limited to the two central arrows.

I'm coming more and more to agree with other guys that if you want to take down Act Bosses, switching to Goblin Toes or Goreriders for their Crushing Blow would be a good idea. Against normal enemies these probably won't be as effective, but if you were hitting the bosses with Guided Arrow or probably a better one is Strafe, you could trigger CB a lot and whittle down their lives quick.
