Hi. Im wondering what the best weapon choice for a frenzy barbarian is. Im going to start out with 2 clegs swords for low level. But once i get into hell, they just won't get me anwhere (i think). So whats the best choice. Im thinking 2 rare executioners or 2 rare cryptics or ancients. Any advice?
Most of the frenzy baba's I" have seen used naga's

I have sword mastery though, so axes wont help me all that much, and im not remaking him, i got him to level 15 already. He is primed and ready to kill Andariel.

You must be talking about Rune Sword. Zweihanders actually have the same weapon speed as Rune Swords, and comparable damage too. I'd look for those two types.
Just to warn you even with pretty expensive gear (think 160%ed -req +15 max 20+ IAS execs) frenzy barbs don't have the killing power even of a cookie-cutter bsnap/angelics barb ime.
I saw a frenzy barb pwning necros, he had "2 godly knouts" If you remake him, 15 shouldn't take too long with a chanter on your side. :afro:
hmm good choice to frenzy barb is 2 godly zweihanders i had one frenzy barb on last ladder with cleg sword and godly zweihander (187ed, +1barb, 20ias, +min dmg) can't find second nice sword but cleg is nice :thumbsup:
knouts yes i heard it's good choice but never test this... don't had 2 nice knouts :undecided:
for early leveling 2 cleg sword with gloves is best option IMO... i end NM with 2 cleg sword with no problem...
2 nagas hmm find godly naga is very very VERY hard... sword is not so rare :flowers:

started putting pts into sword mastery already at lvl 15?
criminy, find a chanter, you can hit lvl 15 w/out using any gear whatsoever in less than 5 minutes with a bow, and a lvl 32 chant.

You guys should know I play SP classic. No internet connection of which to play Battle.net games.

Yes they are, and if you're playing SP then you won't have much of a chance following their advice on godly gear!
Two shopped warhammers should get you through normal, use double swing up until frenzy. They are better then Zwei's because of damage, as well as the 50% damage to undead - great in CS. Use this recipe:
3 chipped gems + magic weapon = magic weapon with 1-2 sockets.
If you could get some ~30% e.d warhammer with sockets (saphires), that could easily kill normal Diablo with double swing.

especially since we all have chanters at our beck and call... Sorry Goomba, you give out a ton of good advice, but sometimes I think you forget not everyone has the resources you do.

Oh, that recipe is in classic too? I thought that was xpac only. I should try it out.

he clarified by mentioning that it's SP. That being said, it's not difficult to strike up a conversation in a chat channel, or meet someone in game that has a chanter.
When I grow weary of folks on my /f list asking for a rush, or a chant, I will routinely make a disposable character on another realm (or mode) and it's not hard at all to find someone willing to chant, or rush.
regardless, level 15 isn't a lot of time invested into a character.

I dont know how far you are planning to take this barb. Hell? The two top frenziers in the past year, actually past 4 years, there werent any high ones until the past year, were HellsFrenzy and Shave's frenzy barb, getting to around 88 lvl each. They were good. I'm actually keeping their accts alive since they have quit, classic at least. Lots of weapons can frenzy, its just finding 2 of the same mastery that is hard. And u really need at least one of them to have good ias on it.
I got a frenzy barb to almost lvl 96 years ago. It was super fun then until the higher hitpoints and wicked leech nerf so that Iron Maiden is usually deadly with frenzy.
Clegs. Dont they increase in damage per level? You need the gloves for that i think and that has knockback. I dont think 2 swords will qualify as 2 Clegs items for the bonus. I've read where they are good for zealing at high levels. They seem like a good choice to me starting out and leveling too. Rune swords, ancient swords, knouts, naga's, divine scepters, battle hammers(ias) all can be good. Zwei's are faster than execs, the high str and dex for execs means u really have to plan on going to a high lvl to use them.
Plan on a source of poison and crushing blow such as gtoes. Ias gear is a must.
In order not to suck, u might party with either: enchantress, fan pally and or conc pally, and an amping necro. Then you can do good. Just wait till one or more of these is on.

Update: Well, following your guy's advice, i remade my frenzy barbarian. Right now I am in act 4 nightmare. He has 2 magic naga's right now, but im hoping to find some rare ones. The damage isn't all that great, but i have plenty of life (1230 with a lvl 20 BO). Im getting to lvl 60 to take on nightmare diablo. Things are looking up.
And i must remind everyone that I play single player classic.
Well you could always imbue a naga repeatedly until you get a decent imbue if you're on SP by copying your save files, dunno if you disaprove of that kind of thing. Otherwise... maybe just take the plunge anyway.
