I'm bored with my 82 necro and want to try a sorceress.

I have some goodies on him/stashed on mules (e.g. darkglow/vipermagi/que-hegans/ormus (+3 enchant ), iron jang bong/spirit sword, wartravs, insight polearm for merc, frostburn gauntlets, tarnhelm/+2 skill rare circlet, necro torch).

I'm not into pvp and already have a zealot smiter for ubertrist. Guess killing random stuff in hell, and perhaps some mf-ing, is what I'll be using her for.

I want "cookie cutter" and have seen the sorc build stickies, but have no idea which would be more powerful..

As for attributes; 50-70 base str, rest in vitality?

Meteorb is your best choice in my view (followed by Blizzball). Frozen Orb only needs one synergy and a few points in Cold Mastery, leaving enough points for you to get a powerful Fireball and Meteor. Having 2 damage types that are strong enough makes a Sorceress very versatile.

Your gear is a good starting point. Read the guide in the stickies (also look in the Single Player forum stickies) for the best equipment and stats.

Frozen Orb only needs a few points in Cold Mastery...

I fixed that for you. FO needs no synergy to be a powerhouse in its own right.
