could someone list the FCR breakpoints for me? I have a fireball sorc and am curious to how much FCR I should have.

aim for 63%. this is easy: vipermagi and 33% Spirit sword.

IMO a fireball sorc should at least have 105% FCR and 200 if you can afford it.

105 is vipermage, magefist (or trangs), spirit sword and any caster shield or ring (if you don't get 35 FCR on the sword). Nothing that can't be had for a few pgems.

First of all, Tal's has a weapon. Secondly, full Tal's only gives 50% FCR.

200fcr is a very specific build. getting the ammy & circlet can be a total PITA.

105 is perfectly functional for most purposes.

I completely agree - for PvM. PvP it might make more sense though.

In order to maintain a strong, balanced build and get 200 FCR you need some very, very nice equipment (i.e. it's possible, but you'd better have nice stuff). However, a Spirit sword, Magefists, Vipermagi will put you at 75-85 FCR, they're all pretty easy to get, and you haven't even factored in headwear, amulet, rings, or belt... which leaves lots of room to get that last 20-30FCR as well as take care of other 'necessities' to make a solid character.

Most of us know that you meant to say "shield and magefist" rather than "sword" there, even though some obviously missed that.
