Here's her set up at level 87 or 88 i believe

Um'ed Shako
Upped Um'ed Vipermagi
HOTO
Spirit Monarch
Magefist
2x sojs
Tals ammy
War Travs

Full inventory of light skillers
Cube
Storch
Anni

Skills
Maxed: Charged bolt, chain light, lightning, light mastery.
1 pt for shiver armor( ithink its shiver or frozen.. its the 2nd one)

I'm pumping 37K Light damage. What could I change to get MORE damage? hehe I think I've gone power crazy....:brainiac:

I've got maxed resist except for fire, im at 56 for fre. which isn't bad

He's building around a lack of Griff's, using a gear setup I suggested. Jason, your damage is fine you aren't PvP. Lose 2 of the skillers so you can pick items up. Again, your damage is great and your merc is carrying Infinity. CoH is the "thing to do," but isn't right for every situation, it only offers a PvM sorc resists, 2 skills, very little dr%, and some MF. We've talked about that.

Eschutas is garbage, people should REALLY stop suggesting it for PvM sorcs, the 1k extra damage at the expense of resists is just stupid.

At any rate, like I said, lose 2 skillers your damage is great for what you're needing.

Thanks Greg. I was overcome by needing more DAMAGE!! lol.. I like seeing 37K damage. hehe.. and wanted more... :-)

I would say this sorc is complete then. Just gotta find an Anni and she'll be REALLY complete. hehe.

Having your cube in your stash full of charms will act like they're sitting on your person?

my es/light sorc has 30k dmg and can easily solo any area in 8player hell games

i think massive amounts of lightning damage are overrated, simply because there is one spell that makes it useless : static field

a typical, well built light sorc has a static field range of over 1 screen, which means ifyou use the spell, you are fighting everything at 50% hitpoints

If you're super rich, you could consider a 4 Light Facet Monarch :P

^Another horrible suggestion due to the fact that it simply ADDS to light mastery, not MULTIPLIES damage like light mastery does. Yes, the -20 enemy resist effectively adds damage also, but at the cost of 44 life, ~100 mana, 2 skillpoints to EVERYTHING, 105 total resists, etc etc etc.

Nope, they have to be in your inventory.

holy crap 37k with infinity? everything should die in a single lightning bolt, heck half a charged bolt would kill em :P

im too poor for infinity but my 19k dmg lite sorc can run any boss(except diablo) and key with relative ease.

The heck, I'm happy with my 6k Chain Lightning Hyrbid Sorceress with Infinity Mercenary (without the use of any charms). Umm would be nice to bump my own damage up though... thanks a lot for making me want more. I was happy with my Sorceress before I read this thread =P

Just another person in the camp here that cant understand why people use Escutas. I use Crescent Moon. Have you thought of that? You lose out on some res and some skills, but you get -35% light res.

I see some builds even advocate the sorc holding the infinity, which loses MUCH more since you lose the shield as well. Using a Crescent Moon gives the same effect without that penalty.

Its also very affordable.

Crescent Moon is handy, but doesn't break immunities, ever. This is just to state that the effect isn't the same, although I agree there is a huge tradeoff when carrying the "green stick." That being said, Eschutas offers nothing to a Light Sorc spare of ~2k more damage total which is basically worthless in the end.

Oh, I know that I need conviction to break immunities (where possible). I have infinity on my merc, so when it does break an immunity, Griffons and Crescent Moon kick in hard towards making a monster with 80%+ lightning resists easy to kill.

When you think about it, low res mobs fry with any decent level of lightning, but the ones that come out with very high lightning res are quite tough if you dont have a decent -light res.

Another vote for Griffons Eye. I made this exact build with inv full of Lightning skill charms a couple of years ago and Griffons Eye made a hugely noticeable difference. Act 2 Might Merc use to clean up lightning immunes quick enough (I was doing a lot of pit runs at the time).

I lost that character due to not playing for a few months and am remaking it on ladder atm to do key runs.

Get rid of the cube and replace with skillers.

Level more.

Use +3 Light circlet and amulet (imo good circlets > shako)

Get an orb with +2 Skills and +3 Lightning with FcR and other mods.

Depending on your setup, a +3 Lightning Ormus might improve your damage.

And that cta/arachnids suggestion from before.

If you take the time to level/acquire more gear, you can hit +50k lightning damage and allout +60k.
