Gosh..some areas with respawning monsters in hell are a..hell!
I wonder how could one survive without some trick to stop the reviving (like luring minions away or breaking them with cold). I, as a paladin, must thank my holy freeze aura (what's the percentage to shatter enemies?)

Difficult situations:
mummy sarcophagus-->In hell lvl72 I can only wait for it to auto-break. Damn dangerous if there are unravelers in range and no space to move away

coldworm the burrower--->Long battle! Found a boss plus swarms, scarabs and usual bunch of maggots. Had been difficult to make my way to the BIG worm and kill it remaining alive (while child continued shooting at me)

viper temple level 2-->Loong battle.. found the ever present viper bosses plus.. 3 unravelers with mummies and skellies!

Not encountered act3 hell shamans yet

I'm assuming you are playing solo/single player?

yes you can post screen shots, however links to pics on photobucket, imageshack, etc.... are more encouraged for users with slow connections that may take a while to load a pic on the page.

in theory you could leave the big worm at the maggot lair alive and just grab the stick and run
of course I do this very, very rarely (I usually rush chars with a meteorb sorc, who doesnt care about its cold immunity)

it somehow reminded me of fallout 1, where you could complete the game without a single kill (not sure about the mutant base)

Well, I could have tried, but in general I clean everything. Finishing a game without kills.. how pacifist lol. However it's not possible in the case the designers foresaw that
