Uped Arreats

1)Hi i was wondering how to make uped arreats and what does happen? I know it gives more deff and more req, but is it all? And howmuch more deff u get?

2)Is there a thread and guide about uped items?

3) Can u reroll the stats on a runeword?

Its noobish questions but wtf i have to ask to know right?

upping items is included in the horadaric cube section on battle.net/diablo2exp
to reroll a rune word u need a hel rune + scroll of town portal to clean the old runes from the weapon
also you need another set of runes to do so. If you dont have the runes dont reroll hte item

Yes, you can re-roll the runeword. As stated above clear the runes from the item using Hel and TP scroll. Then insert new runes into the item. You don't get the cleared runes back.

1) The lowest Arreats have a def of 302 while perfect arreat def wise will be 363.

The lowest Upped Arreats will have 292 defense while the highest will be 504.

This is because Arreats always spawn with a base defense of perf (120) + 1 = 121. The only random factor in defense is the 150 - 200% ED. However, when it's upped, the base defense rerolls, and is no longer perfect + 1 or even perfect. It ranges from 117 to 168 in addition to the ED bonus. So if you think it's worth it, then by all means go for it. It's extremely rare for upped Arreats to drop lower then original.

78 more str required for upped arreats.

2)I don't think there is one on this forum. Perhaps someone else can clarify on this.

3)You can't exactly reroll them like you do a charm. What happens is you basically destroy the runeword and make it again in the same item.
