you can up uniques, but they will get automatically id'ed in the process

If somebody gives you an unid elite items and says that it's an upped normal/exceptional one, it's a scam:

Look here, I have an unid, upped HoZ

or a reverse scam:

Look here, I have a unid double upped, unid Undead Crown

As a mod, I think you're giving people some dubious ideas....

I think such a scam would be so obvious that my posting cannot be considered as promoting it and regarding the second one, I will happily fall prey to it.

i have to admit i didnt think of that one, thanks for the hint

seriously though, i can see new players (and yeah, theyre out there) fall for a trick like that, provided they know there is such a thing as upping -and have already learned AS by heart.

i mean, some scammers switch runes -not items. i tried to get my hands on a jah several times and in the end he switched it with an el and with an ith once.
if scammers try to rip off other people in such an obvious way.. must mean theres at least some dumbasses falling for it, so why not for this 'suggested' scam?
