All the clerics ive read about are for cs running... i was wondering how a team cleric would suffice. and is it considered bad manner?
would it be wise to just add as much plus skills as possible? or do more of a resi/fcr build?
so far i was thinking of using these skills-
-Charge; To clag
-HShield; For the added block rate and defense
-HBolt; You already know why
-Prayer and Meditation;
-Salvation; this is iffy, or maybe i should just do the single rezzy auras
-Vigor; maybe just for those Speeder barbs hehehehee
-Holy Freeze; to unclag those perky hdins.
also, he would ONLY be a side kick. i was thinking no offensive.
what do you guys think?
what do you need to clag for, if you have no offense? (aside from the fact that charge is a pre-req for many other useful skills used during leveling perhaps?)
also, in most team duels, the other guys will assume that you are the hdin, and thus the clagg+killer, so they will be targeting you.
if you are assisting a barb, they will most likely prefer your concentration for quick/one-hit kills, rather than any healing, or synergistic aura. that being said, yes your holy freeze could also play into some usefulness here.
as for bad manners - most people that are willing to participate in team duels, and/or "wars" say anything goes.

You could just make a full healer with a point in (and key assigned to) smite.
Wear some gobs and Boneflesh, shop yourself a 30ias +2 pala War Scepter and you're good to go. Then at least you can participate a bit more then just healing. Magefists are also good to have on him. One point in salvation along with some +skills goes a long way to getting some res to your team. Since you wouldn't have to fill up your Bolt damage, you could max your FoH and participate quite well in team duels. You probably won't have enough points to fill your conviction aura, but most people are in and out of your conviction range most of the time anyway once they notice you have that on.

well i was hoping to clag just so its harder for them to hit me.
also, thanks for the idea about concentration!!

i feel like if FoH and Conviction arent maxed then they are pretty useless in team duels, i have an FoHdin right now with +8skills and he's still having a really hard time in PvP. the onlything i really find useful in team duels is his conviction which sorcs or lightning zons really like.
Also which auras would you most likely max?
and which auras would you only put a certain number of points to?
thank you both so far!

For such a special build, I would max Meditation and Prayer.
And Holy bolt. Note that FoH very nice when you have a full power holy bolt, since all the bolts that eminate from your target will have the same healing power that your holy bolt has. Hence the FoH option.
If it were me I would make it somewhat of a aura din helper. Skills to max:
Hbolt
Prayer
Resist lightning
Fana
Rest in Conviction
This way you are helpful (very helpful) with and against zons, and add something to the common barb hdin team. Zons are laughable with maxed lightning res aura.

i always thought that the bolts from foh DIDNT heal party members. it just goes right through them.
anyways, if that were the case, even if i had full hbolt just to heal party might as well just shoot them instead of using foh on the enemy right?

wouldnt it be better off if i maxed Salvation? instead of just Lighting Resist, that way there fire and cold resist too.
also does fana carry through hammers? if so that would be SWEET!!

hacking amazons are tough opponenents even with max resist lightning, which rises your light resistance to 95% (instead of 75% with salvation)
and unfortunately, I havent met a legit lightning amazon for a long time
for a barb, wearing stacked 75 LR, and 4k life after BO, with a big mart (like 280+) a solo zon, even farcasting can be mowed over even by my inept hands.
lots of leaping in an attempt to leap over their charged strike, and perhaps get them into leap+stun is usually how I do it.
I have seen rcage/bsnap barbs blow through teamed zons however as well.

fana dont help hammers and the reason for resist lightning is increased max res as fledgling said

what gear do you guys suggest on a tpk cleric?
i know the usual..
+2 Shield
+2 Ammy
+2 Scept or any weap
should i wear a tarn and silks?
or more res things? like gskin? irathas? dglow?
or twitch for the fbr?
I would use res gear, the only reason to go max skills is if ur tryin to get ur conviction to surpass an opposing fohers conviction. But in this situation u can just use resist light aura.
