3os mage plate?

hey all .. just looking through all the trade threads and what i've got .. i understand the value of 4os polearms, 4 and 5 sock flails, 3 and 4 sock elite armors, but .. 3os mage plates?

why is there demand for these? is it the low strength requirement? do people make Enigma in these?

It is a good base armor for low strenght enigmas and treachery armors. With torch and anni pretty much any char can wear them without any strenght investment.

On top of that, Enigma gives a massive strength bonus, so just by wearing an Enigma Mage Plate, you can use almost any weapon, shield, helmet etc. with no points invested in strength.

...and for the folks who DEMAND AP or other "high defense" Enigmas, keep in mind that the defense difference on really good bases for AP and MP is ~200 in the end. Hardly worth another 48 strength IMO.
